For the Culinary Institute of America’s Moveable Feast, a multi-restaurant dining experience, guests carried stamped “passports” throughout the evening as both navigational tools and keepsakes. The covers and multi-page booklets needed to function seamlessly during the event while reflecting the elevated nature of the experience.

Guests were divided into teams named after herbs, including Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme. Each passport features a distinct colorway drawn from the CIA brand palette, paired with a simplified herb illustration centered within a circular framing device. Consistent typography, layout structure, and iconography unify the set, while variations in color and illustration create clear differentiation between teams.

Inside, the back pages featured grayed-out stamp marks representing each participating restaurant. As guests moved through the evening, their passports were physically stamped at each stop, transforming the booklet from a structured guide into a personalized record of the experience. This interactive layer reinforced the event’s sense of progression and made the passports meaningful souvenirs rather than disposable materials.

The clean composition, restrained type hierarchy, and balanced use of negative space support both clarity and sophistication. The result is a cohesive visual system that enhances wayfinding, encourages engagement, and extends the memory of the event beyond a single evening.
