Thoughtful design. Strategic direction.
A genuine obsession with getting it right.
I partner with brands and teams to create work that feels aligned, intentional, and unmistakably them.
Behind the Design
Carla Lickun is the owner and principal of Noopi Creative, a design studio specializing in brand, print, web, video and motion, rooted in creative partnership. An award-winning design director and creative leader, she brings big-agency thinking with small-studio care, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on craft.
With a background spanning broadcast, retail, higher education, nonprofit, corporate, and print and news media environments, Carla leads projects from concept through launch. Her work spans identity systems and full brand rollouts, retail packaging and product catalogs, national billboard and transit campaigns, web and social assets, motion graphics, and full graphics packages for news programming and film, among many other creative initiatives. Whether building a brand from the ground up or evolving an established one, she approaches each project with clarity, precision, and thoughtful execution.
Carla began her career in broadcast design, creating and animating for stations including WOUB-TV (PBS), WSYX-TV (ABC), WTTE-TV (FOX), WTXF-TV (FOX Philadelphia), Comcast Cable, and WHYY (PBS/NPR Philadelphia). She later expanded her creative and leadership expertise across organizations such as The Culinary Institute of America, David’s Bridal Corporate, International Schools Services, StraighterLine, and The Main Line Times.
As a creative partner, Carla values relationships as much as results. She collaborates with national brands and scrappy startups alike, frequently supporting mission-driven nonprofits through discounted and donated services. She has also led professional training sessions on design principles and creative software, reinforcing her commitment to thoughtful, reliable partnership at every stage.
Carla lives in New York’s Hudson Valley with her husband, a U.S. Navy veteran, two wonderful bonus kids, and three rescue dogs who take their Instagram presence far too seriously at @miloandbernie. She enjoys swimming, puzzling, photography, strawberries, and the simple things.

A Little Obsessed, In a Good Way
Good design is not just about how something looks. It is about how it works, how it feels, and how consistently it shows up across every touchpoint. I approach every project holistically, thinking beyond the single deliverable and considering the full ecosystem of your brand.
When you hire me, you are not just hiring a designer. You are gaining strategic thinking, experienced creative direction, and a partner who anticipates challenges, asks the right questions, and cares deeply about getting it right. From big-picture strategy to the smallest detail, I stay fully invested so your brand shows up clearly, confidently, and cohesively.

The Tail Behind The Name
Once upon a time, Carla had the privilege of learning, up close, that there could be such a thing as a soul dog.
A soul dog is your soul mate in dog form. Those people you find in your life that were just meant to be a part of your universe for a lifetime.
Beginning with the discovery of a tiny puppy, Piper, in a drain pipe in South Carolina, to a scrawny adorable, Noodle, who turned up in a Philadelphia dumpster seven years later, these rescue dogs changed everything.
Noodle and Piper were just that.
The 3 of them together, had a lifetime of adventures that changed their lives, helped each other through ups and downs, lived through good and bad, and made memories that were unforgettable.
They represent so much joy, so much happiness and so much love.
And though they are now both gone, they forever changed the trajectory of Carla’s life in a deep and meaningful way.
And so…
Noodle + Piper = Noopi
